Andrew has over 18 years experience and is known for previous roles as a journalist and as spokesman for the British Property Federation and BAA. Having co-founded and exited high profile tech start-ups, he is a regular TV and radio commentator on business and politics.
He subsequently set up Blackstock to offer clients a better, more boutique consultancy founded on having an external team able to understand the technical detail of clients’ businesses with the flexibility to act like an in-house resource.
A senior real estate expert and leader in strategy, communications, marketing and business development, Laura has recently joined the growing Blackstock team, helping Andrew to run and grow the business.
Laura has 17 years’ real estate strategy, business, corporate development, planning, marketing, communications and digital experience across the real estate sector, both commercial and residential and both as an in-house corporate director and in an agency/consultancy capacity.
Laura also has a strong track record in brand positioning, M&A, business change and integration communications, project management and delivery, thought leadership, digital and client targeting and communications. Laura has a strong network of relationships and has worked with real estate companies and press agencies all over the world. She is also a skilled facilitator and an experienced mentor to aspiring talent.

Alex returned to Blackstock after a three-year stint as Senior Reporter at property industry magazine Estates Gazette. Alex worked for Blackstock in its early days, using four years of experience as an analyst and press manager at property benchmarking index IPD to drive coverage for our clients. He’s since returned to lead Blackstock’s data and research section.
With his strong data background, Alex pulls together data-driven reports and stories which tap into trends in the property sector and slot into the news agenda easily.
Since joining Blackstock as an executive, Tom has quickly risen through the ranks to become a company director. With a background in polling and at an influential think-tank, Tom uses his in-depth knowledge of the political landscape to our clients’ advantage.
From leading lobbying campaigns on tourism VAT and rental housing to writing reports on planning policy, Tom works across the business to support our clients’ needs and, above all, secure the right results.

Phil spent 24 years at IPD running its UK and Ireland business and advising leading fund managers and REITs. He’s now head of performance analytics at Altus Group. He remains one of the real estate sector’s leading experts in investment, performance and risk analysis.
Tricia Topping set up and sold the successful PR agency TTA Group to Bell Pottinger. After that, she began advising luxury brands. She specialises in comms strategies, working across fashion, jewellery and real estate.
